Hey folks,

Since the past couple of years, internet is available on a multiplicity of devices, with different screen size & interaction (click, gestures,…). Web designers, Programmers, have to deal with this constraint in order to assure the client that his website is viewable AND usable in the best condition whatever the terminal.

Now with CSS3, and mediaqueries requests, it is possible to declare a stylesheet format for each device, so when the user is viewing your website from a smartphone, the content is adapted to the screen.

Tuesday October 14th, Apple released the new version of their mobile OS : IOs5. It is what they call “The most advanced OS for mobile” . Why?

- ICloud : All your apple devices are now connected. start to work on your presentation at home on your laptop. finish it in the plane on your Ipad, present it using your iphone as a remote. no more plug in and out your computer to sync your data.

- Notifications : will display on your home screen with a green slider that allows you to go straight to the answer page or calling back your

- IMessage : send text, photos between iphones, iphone for free.

- Tweet : tweet your photos, web pages, videos

-Newstand : subscribe to your favorites magazines and read it from your device

- Reminders : whatever cross your mind write it down here.

QR Codes….wikipedia mode|on| :”A QR Code is a specific matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code), readable by dedicated QR barcode readers and camera phones. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded can be text, URL or other data.”

For a few years now, you might have seen one of those weird black & white logotypes at the bottom of an ad (pics). This is a QR CODE. Tt allows any Smartphone user with the proper application (download QR reader, it’s free) to access special contents provided by the advertiser. So the next time you see a QR code next to an announcement, get ready to draw your Smartphone!!

Safari’s Reader Function

Did anyone notice that Safari’s “reader mode” is available when you are viewing a page containing articles or long paragraphs. This function is the project of Readability (www.readability.com) who has realeased an extension for Mozilla Firefox & Google Chrome to extend the same capabilities!
